Newgatestreet Road parking & safety latest

Update @ March 2026

As highlighted in our Winter newsletter, many residents are complaining about the parking on this busy road.

• Parked cars & vans restrict the width of the road (which can serve to calm traffic)

• Vehicles are often driven too fast and with 2 wheels on the pavement.

• Dangerous for pedestrians crossing, where they have to look out behind high sided vehicles.

Broxbourne Council & HCC are now developing a solution following our lobbying and a consultation with local people will be done in May 26.
