Laurel Park development

GOCA are objecting to the development in the Green Belt. It was not designated as a site for development in the Broxbourne Local Plan.


Latest update @ Nov 2025 The application referred to below was rejected at the meeting on 18th November at the council offices. Members of GOCA and some local residents attended.


The Laurel Park application (Corner of Hammondstreet Road & Newgatestreet Road) for a SEN school & up to 90 houses was to have been reviewed at a Council Planning meeting on 14th October but has been withdrawn while further aspects of the plan are considered. It will be referred to a future Planning Committee possibly on 18th November 2025. The application is 07/25/0222/F and can be reviewed on the Council’s Planning Portal. As GOCA, we are objecting to the development in the Green Belt. It was not designated as a site for development in the Broxbourne Local Plan.
