Burton Lane/Bellway planning proposal - 100 homes

Consultation closed in June for the Bellway development of 100 Homes on the land to the west of Burton Lane. CPRE (Campaign to protect Rural England) have commented on the application:

The proposed development site is in the Green Belt. The application argues that the site is ‘grey belt’, an assertion that we entirely refute. The proposed development is clearly urban sprawl beyond the built-up area of Goffs Oak which the Green Belt legislation was designed to prevent. We urge the Council to refuse permission for this inappropriate speculative development.
