Borough of Broxbourne Awards March 2026

GOCA committee members, Barry Cressey & Kelly Matthews, were recognised this year for their outstanding contributions in the Borough.  Congratulations Barry and Kelly!

Barry has given unstinting service to Goffs Oak residents for many years, and has been key to keeping GOCA alive through some difficult times and instrumental in its regeneration over the few years.

Kelly (and the James Foundation) received their award for their outstanding support of families in the Borough coping with the heartbreak of baby loss. The James Foundation was founded in memory of Kelly’s son, James Howard Ireton.

The event was a great success and was attended by some 200 people including our MP, Lewis Cocking (pictured with Barry & Kelly), Mayor of Broxbourne, Patsy Spears and the Leader of Broxbourne Council, Corina Gander.
